Organic Upland Silver
We had our organic cotton cleaned and corded at a GOTS-certified mill. Due to financial constraints, the mill does not hold USDA certification. The certification could not be maintained. As with all our premium cotton fibers, the natural oils and waxes are safely removed for you and the environment. A friendly Cotton Fiber. Harvested from the field to the cotton gin, and then onto the mill to be cleaned. Mechanical processes only. There's no chemical or bleach applied to the cotton at the farm, gin, or mill.

Products are grown on our family farm located 12 miles north of Historic Edenton, NC. Each product is produced with skills, care, and technology passed down through many generations. We have an old grist mill on the farm. We grind some of our certified organic corn yearly for family and friends. We even hand-tie each and every bag of cornmeal with cotton twine.

Cotton is our specialty; I love to raise a nice crop of cotton. We go the extra mile to give each cotton plant the nutrients, time, and care it needs to optimally produce. Effectively producing top yields and high quality is our goal. Our farm works closely with the North Carolina Department of Soil and Water Conservation to ensure clean water and productive topsoil for generations to come.
With many customer requests for organic cotton products, we raised our first crop of USDA-certified organic cotton, corn, and beans. Finally, in 2019 we were able to safely remove the natural oils and waxes from our cotton and maintain the organic certification. Removing the oils and waxes greatly increases the absorption.
